FOR THE SENDER – all-inclusive in Lake Tahoe
October 14 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
PLEASE NOTE: Doors will open at 4:30pm for the all-inclusive autumn feast with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Show begins at sunset.
About 250 of you probably remember last year’s For The Sender show, with songs and stories framed by the Carson river, a canopy of trees, and the early fall night sky (here’s a peek, in case you forgot). The response to that evening was so strong that we’re doing it again, on OCTOBER 14th, 2017.
This time the evening will be a little different, in that we are selling fewer tickets (at a slightly higher price), there will be a much more substantial and varied autumn feast prepared, and we’ll have a few different musicians.
This year, our artists for this ‘stories with a soundtrack’ experience are just as amazing as last year…of course, we’ll have the creator and leader of critically-acclaimed For The Sender (one of the year’s most touching releases – Billboard enlightening and ultimately inspiring – Huffington Post I love this! – Ellen Degeneres), Alex Woodard, bassist Patrick “Turtle” McClory, and your’s truly, Ike & Martin, but with the addition of Jack Tempchin, one of the best songwriters of our time (ever heard Peaceful Easy Feeling or Already Gone by The Eagles? Or Slow Dancing by Johnny Rivers? How about Smuggler’s Blues or You Belong to the City by Glenn Frey?… Jack wrote those songs), and in a HUGE talent grab for our little concert, we will be joined by Jordan Pundik of the mega-hit band New Found Glory. This guy sings in front of hundreds of thousands of faces a year, all over the world, and we’re so excited to have him join us on stage for a night. He’s a stellar guy and a good friend. Also joining our crew is Molly Thomas. Molly was the fiddle player for the incredible Todd Snider and Will Hoge, as well as her own band, Molly Thomas and the Rare Birds in Mobile, AL. Molly grew up playing violin with Ike in the same orchestra/college circuit in Mississippi, and they’ve known each other since they were teenagers. She’s a welcome addition to the evening, and y’all will love her.
Please feel free to email us at email@example.com with any questions, and we look forward to seeing you there!
